Pear Deck: Pear Deck Slides gives teachers the ability to engage and assess every student in every row, no matter what grade or subject. Using Pear Deck will help you create an interactive and community-focused classroom that builds confidence and comprehension. I love using Pear Deck to workshop writing, both in literacy and in Creative Writing. I can see responses from all of my students (some of their comments are editor-worthy!) and writers get immediate feedback!

Open Educational Resources: OER Commons is a public digital library of open educational resources. Explore, create, and collaborate with educators around the world to improve curriculum. Featured speaker Kristina Ishmael, 2018 ITEC

Sketch Noting: Great strategies for students to take notes differently (rewarding those doodlers out there).  I found Manuel S. Herrera's presentation at ITEC 2018 very enlightening.  More resources: The Pencil Made Me Do It;  Doodlers, Rejoice! ISU professors encourage doodle to the classroom.

Teaching Visual Literacy in the Classroom (Idea presented at 2018 ITEC) - Visual literacy is a skill that I think I and my students need to be more aware of when teaching and receiving information.  This article covers the foundation of visual literacy presented by Magdalena Galloway at 2018 ITEC.

What is Blended Learning?  And what isn't Blended Learning?

Zillion.com:  Zillion has a plethora (or a zillion) of different direct instruction lessons for students that are FREE! Organize your ideas using an outline is just one of them.  I am seeking feedback from my instructional coach and resource teacher if we could implement this for our LRC (Learning Resource Center) students.  This would enable direct instruction (like the link included,) a writing/reading element, feedback, direct instruction, a writing/reading element, and so on.  This would enable personalized structured learning, a check off sheet, and hopefully more engaged students because they can see their accomplishment.  Link to free instructional videos.
